Former New England Patriot Matt Light Launches "Inflation Nation" Raffle for Beleaguered Football Fans
Foxboro, MA (PRWEB) May 21, 2015 -- Former New England Patriot Matt Light today announced a new fundraiser mocking “Deflategate,” by turning the situation into a charitable endeavor. Light is looking to pump up funds and awareness for his nonprofit organization, The Light Foundation, which helps at risk youth across the country.
The Light Foundation is teaming up with Celebrities for Charity to raffle off a chance for some lucky Patriots fans to go to Indianapolis to see the Patriots take on the Colts on October 18, 2015, at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, IN to watch football live. It’s a long-awaited rematch of last winter’s AFC Championship game, and a contest any football fan would want to witness.
“Patriot Nation needs something positive to root for right now,” says Light. “Although we won a world championship again, and have proven ourselves repeatedly, the media circus surrounding ‘Deflategate’ has cast a bit of a shadow over New England fans. My plan is to turn this nonsense into something positive – for those fans and for my Foundation,” he adds. “At the end of the day, we’re going to give some Pats fans the experience of a lifetime, raise money for a great cause, ultimately move on from this craziness -- and watch the boys have a great season.”
A winner and a friend can ask Light all the questions they want to while flying via private jet to attend the Indy vs. Pats game in late October. The package is all-inclusive, and comes with hotel accommodations, dinner, transportation to the game, and a Tom Brady signed football, inflated to what Light calls “your own personal PSI standards.”
Tickets to the online raffle can be purchased for $2.00 and there are no limitations to how many tickets can be purchased, per person. Tickets are available at: http://www.inflationnationraffle.org until 11:00 AM ET on Tuesday, October 13, 2015. The drawing will be held and the winner will be notified after the raffle closes and the winner is drawn.
Light is known for his unique fundraisers and this one is no different. “When all is said and done, we’ll have a lot of fun banding together for a great cause, for a great team, and in my eyes – "We are Inflation Nation.”
