Curated by Dione Carston, Napa Valley creative director and interior designer to the cultured fine goods enthusiast, Redolent’s alluring products were intentionally selected from around the world to form a shopping experience like no other in the region. With few exceptions, all products debuting with Redolent’s opening are exclusive to the Napa Valley and Bay Area region, and in some cases, are limited editions. “Redolent’s products feature great design, artisan craftsmanship and present compelling visual statements,” says Carston. “They are not items that wear out their welcome over time.”
With a sense of urban sophistication, Redolent Mercantile is intended to appeal to the Napa Valley resident and visitor alike, going beyond the expected shopping experience and presenting buyers with luxurious items to be treasured. With the intention for Redolent to have a continually evolving inventory, the store will always present something new to discover. “We want Redolent to be a place where our guests can visit frequently and always find something new,” says owner Stacia Williams. “When one item sells, our goal is to replace it with something fresh and different.”

The opening of Redolent Mercantile continues the development of Cairdean Estate’s wine and food village, providing an exciting, multi-sensory wine, food, art and shopping experience for Napa Valley. Redolent joins the Michelin-recognized gastropub The Farmer & The Fox, serving dinner nightly, Butterscots Bakery & Deli, serving breakfast and lunch daily, and the Cairdean Vineyards Tasting Rooms. San Francisco interior designer Nicole Hollis, who executed interiors for Cairdean’s wine and food venues, also provided Redolent’s clean, earth tone interiors, allowing ample space for the products and visiting buyers to interact. Redolent Mercantile is managed and merchandised by Elizabeth Fontaine, who brings 15 years of merchandising experience with top luxury brands like Anthropologie, Calvin Klein and Tommy Bahama. Possessing an impeccable eye for design and style, Fontaine will also curate items for Redolent's consistently evolving product selection.

Cairdean has two off-property vineyards producing estate fruit: Acquaintance Vineyard in the Coombsville AVA (Napa, CA) and Confidant Vineyard in the Russian River Valley AVA (Windsor, CA).
