Pittsburgh Firm Recognized in National Awards Competition

This national competition recognizes and honors business marketers for innovative marketing strategies and successful new product and service introductions.

Pipitone Group (PG) is pleased to announce that is has won one award and been recognized for two excellence awards in the Business Marketing Association’s (BMA) B2 Awards. This national competition recognizes and honors business marketers for innovative marketing strategies and successful new product and service introductions.

Pipitone Group won in the “New Launch” category for its Arc Flash-Rated Safety Harness product launch for MSA. MSA wanted to educate their audiences on the importance of arc flash rating and the product’s benefits. PG proposed a hard-hitting campaign that would evoke strong emotions, with the headline “POWER. HARNESSED.” It included original photography featuring gritty, visually powerful close-ups and dramatic lighting to focus attention on the human being the harness is protecting. The campaign included a direct mail brochure, poster, launch kits, branded hangers and duffle bags for the harnesses, print ads and digital banner ads.

Pipitone Group’s “Glenn the Glass Guy” videos for PPG IdeaScapes earned an excellence award in the “Video Production, Over 5:00” category. PPG Glass needed to support the sales of its Intercept Spacer System. PG helped PPG create a series of short, informative videos featuring an educational character, Glenn the Glass Guy. Presenting factual information in a fun and engaging way helped position them as a thought leader and supported sales of the product.

Another PPG project, the Solarban Glass 50th Anniversary campaign, completed with the help of both Pipitone Group and Yearick-Millea, received an award of excellence in the “Existing Customer Retention and Growth” category. PPG, PG and Yearick-Millea collaborated to create an integrated marketing campaign that included both paid and earned media—print and digital ads, regional news releases and resulting editorial, direct mail campaign, brochure—as well as a responsive website featuring 50 years’ worth of photo resources to underscore PPG’s legacy of leadership and innovation.
