Dr. Bill Dorfman & Paula Abdul to Host Workshop at Global Finals
CHERRY HILL, N.J. (PRWEB) May 22, 2015 -- Destination Imagination (DI), a non-profit organization dedicated to fostering students' curiosity, courage and creativity through open-ended STEM, fine arts and service learning challenges, just announced Paula Abdul will join Dr. Bill Dorfman in hosting the workshop Win Against All Odds on Friday, May 22 in Knoxville, Tennessee.
The complimentary workshop, held within the Innovation Expo at DI’s Global Finals, will give attendees insight into building strategies for achieving success in all aspects of life.
“Paula Abdul and Dr. Bill Dorfman’s passion for instilling an entrepreneurial spirit in children is contagious,” said Dr. Chuck Cadle, CEO of Destination Imagination, Inc. “They share our mission of combining creativity and artistic exploration with academics, and through this workshop, this year’s participants will have the opportunity to see how those skills translate into a career.”
The workshop is open to Global Finals attendees of all ages and will take place at 2 p.m. in Thompson-Boling Arena. During the workshop, both Abdul and Dorfman will share personal stories, tips and strategies for students on how to achieve success in all aspects of life.
“This is a fantastic opportunity to show how the scientific and artistic disciplines can work together to create opportunities for professional development and success,” said Dr. Dorfman. “Her work as a ground-breaking choreographer, dancer, songwriter, performer and all-around business woman is proof that, with hard work and the right strategy, anyone can achieve their dreams.”
Dorfman has worked for years as a motivational leader for young adults and authored the book “Billion Dollar Smile.” He is responsible for creating the LEAP and Discus Dental foundations, stemming from his 20 plus years practicing dentistry. In addition to hosting the Win Against All Odds workshop, Dorfman will conduct two additional workshops for students and adults during Global Finals.

She has been entertaining her fans for over 25 years, and has served as a judge and producer on several national reality-competition series. More recently, Abdul has become one of the top public speakers in the industry, touring the country to bring her own passion, drive and work experiences to the lives of those walking the halls of companies throughout America including Pepsico Women CEO’s , Cigna Health, Jewish Federation for Women, Empower 180 and Genius Network. She will be on a panel alongside Nigel Lythgoe and Jason Derulo on the U.S. version of the hit dance competition show “So You Think You Can Dance” in June 2015.
