WORX Launches Power Share Program with New 56-volt Cordless Grass Trimmer/Edger and 24-inch Hedge Trimmer

Flagships of the new high-voltage line are the WORX 56V MaxLithium Trimmer/Edger and WORX 56V MaxLithium 24 in. Hedge Trimmer. Besides the 56V trimmer/edger and hedge trimmer, the WORX Power Share program includes two 19 in. lawnmowers, each equipped with two 56V batteries. A powerful turbine blower and 16 in. chain saw will debut later this year. Each yard tool in the Power Share program shares the same 56V MaxLithium battery pack.
In addition to gas-like power with zero emissions, the WORX 56V MaxLithium Trimmer/Edger exclusively features Command Feed(TM) that enables the operator to electronically advance trimmer line at will. Most line usage occurs while edging or trimming along hard surfaces, such as drives, walkways, patios or fences. With Command Feed, the user can instantly replenish line by pressing, then releasing, a pushbutton above the trigger. There’s no more awkward bumping while edging or waiting for line to advance.
The 56V trimmer uses professional line (.080 in. diameter) that helps prevent shredding and depletion. WORX incorporates a quick-change, easy-to-load, pre-wound spool, so there’s no fumbling with line changes.
WORX also has developed a new method of transitioning from trimming to edging. By pressing a large pushbutton on the trimmer’s shaft, the power head rotates into position for in-line wheeled edging. When edging, two wheels help guide the trimmer for professional-looking results. The trimmer weighs 8.8 lbs. and has a 13-in. cutting swath.
The 56V trimmer’s exclusive 0 to 90° pivoting head and extra-length (24 in.) shaft enable the user to trim beneath decks, on steep inclines and in other hard-to-reach areas.

The WORX 56V Hedge Trimmer with dual-action, 24-inch blades boasts plenty of muscle to cut branches up to ¾ in. diameter. The cordless trimmer weighs only 10.1 lbs., considerably less than most gas models. And there’s never a chance of accidentally cutting extension cords.
The lightweight, ergonomic hedge trimmer is ideally balanced for shaping tasks or topiary sculpting. Its soft-grip rear handle and D-shaped front handle provide maximum comfort and control when cutting sides and tops of hedges. A clear-view, hi-impact hand guard adds protection and helps deflect debris.
Stamped-steel, smooth-cutting blades minimize vibration and reduce operator fatigue, especially during extended use periods. The fully hardened, factory-sharpened blades operate at 2200 strokes-per-minute (spm). A two-step trigger prevents accidental start-ups.
The cordless hedge trimmer also features a 90-minute charger, durable blade guard cover and wall mount hole for convenient storage. A battery power level indicator monitors the battery’s charge level.
