Tianma NLT America Introduces New TFT LCDs with 100,000-Hour Long Life Backlights and ColorXcell Technology
Santa Clara, CA (PRWEB) May 26, 2015 -- Leading LCD supplier Tianma NLT America is introducing two new SVGA (800 x 600 pixel) TFT LCDs for industrial applications, manufactured by NLT Technologies, Ltd., with long-life LED backlights that provide 100,000 hours of operation. Applications for these displays include factory automation, analytical instrumentation and test and measurement equipment.
Available in two sizes, 8.4-inch and 10.4-inch diagonal, the displays provide vivid color reproduction with low power consumption by utilizing NLT’s proprietary ColorXcell technology. ColorXcell enables the reproduction of images that are comparable in color intensity to the original video source. With ColorXcell, viewers can see high quality images on the display without an increase in power consumption. Coupled with an LED backlight, ColorXcell technology achieves a further reduction in power consumption of approximately 50%1.
The 100,000-hour long life backlights of these LCDs, a new breakthrough for NLT, significantly reduce customers’ maintenance costs and time, a key benefit for industrial applications that may be in operation 24/7. Moreover, the half-life luminance of the backlight has been dramatically improved, resulting in long-term stable display brightness.
In addition to the long life backlight, the new LCDs meet the most common requirements for industrial applications, including screen size, resolution, luminance, power consumption, contrast, and operating temperature range. The displays guarantee stable performance even under harsh conditions such as high operating temperature or uninterrupted operation, making them ideal for industrial use.
The new TFT LCDs will be showcased at Display Week 2015 at the San Jose Convention Center in San Jose, California, June 2-4, in Tianma Group Booth 719.
