Campbellsville University Establishes Lectureship in Honor of Christians for Biblical Equality
Minneapolis, MN (PRWEB) May 28, 2015 -- Campbellsville University, in Campbellsville, Kentucky, has established a lectureship in honor of Christians for Biblical Equality (CBE). The Christians for Biblical Equality Lectureship exists to promote biblical justice and community by educating Christians that the Bible calls women and men to share authority equally in service and leadership in the home, church, and world.
The lectureship is part of Campbellsville’s Kentucky Heartland Institute on Public Policy series, designed to focus attention on public policy study and issues debate, while encouraging the involvement of Christian leaders in the public and civic arenas.
In addition to hosting the CBE Lectureship, Campbellsville University will demonstrate its commitment to advocacy for the leadership of Christian women by joining CBE as an organizational member.
The lectureship will host one lecture per year and kicks off this September. CBE’s president, Dr. Mimi Haddad, will deliver the inaugural lecture on September 1, 2015 and the university’s convocation message on September 2.
“We are excited to see Campbellsville University take a leadership role in encouraging its students to wrestle with difficult topics and equipping them to serve and lead however they are called by God, regardless of gender. We are proud to welcome Campbellsville as an organizational member of CBE” said Dr. Mimi Haddad, president of CBE. “CBE and Campbellsville have had a productive partnership over the years, and I am eager to see our relationship continue to grow in the future.”
Campbellsville University is a widely acclaimed Kentucky-based Christian university with more than 3,500 students offering 63 undergraduate options, 17 master’s degrees, five postgraduate areas, and eight pre-professional programs. For complete information, visit campbellsville.edu.
