Datalogic Adds QuickScan QBT2131 and QM2131 Cordless Linear Imagers at Entry Level Affordability
Eugene (PRWEB) May 26, 2015 -- Datalogic, a global leader in Automatic Data Capture and Industrial Automation markets, and world-class producer of bar code readers, mobile computers, sensors, vision systems and laser marking equipment, is pleased to announce two new additions to their popular QuickScan™ family of bar code readers – the QuickScan QBT2131 and QM2131 linear imagers.
Linear bar codes still hold a relevant position in the data capture marketplace. These new QuickScan cordless imagers have an extra-wide field of view and extra-long scan line that enables the reading of long bar codes at closer distances. The sharp and highly visible scan line, coupled with the enhanced depth of field, ensures bar codes read at intuitive distances.
“Datalogic designs and produces new products by combining innovative technology with years of experience in data capture development, recognition of market trends and identifying our customers’ needs,” states Giulio Berzuini, General Manager and Vice President of the Handheld Business Unit at Datalogic. “We are happy to offer our customers these ergonomic, stylish, responsive and affordable general purpose linear imagers.”
The QuickScan QBT2131 reader employs Bluetooth® Wireless Technology allowing transmission of data to the host through its base station as well as to any commercial or embedded Bluetooth v3.0 device. This imager can also be connected to any tablet using either iOS or Android operating systems via the Bluetooth HID profile. This model is also available globally.
The QuickScan QM2131 reader features Datalogic STAR2.0 Cordless System™ technology (433MHz only). This narrow band radio provides secure communication with no risk of interference with Wi-Fi infrastructure. It has very low sensitivity to obstacles like concrete walls, or metal shelves. Presently, the availability of the QuickScan QM2131 scanner is limited to specific geographic locations based on radio frequency certification requirements by individual countries.
Additional features common to both models include: cordless range of 25.0m / 82.0ft; easy user-replaceable long lasting lithium-ion battery; batch mode capabilities of +500 linear codes stored in memory and Datalogic’s patented ‘Green Spot’ technology for good-read feedback. A micro USB port allows for alternative battery charging, host download configuration and use of the product without the cradle.
These units are designed to be used not only in the retail environments, but also will fit well into commercial services such as banking, public administration and utilities for data capture needs.
