Photon and Slyce to accelerate digital innovation for major retailers through Photon’s mobile-first, omni-channel expertise and Slyce’s industry-leading visual product search

The agreement will see Slyce become Photon’s provider of mobile visual product search technology and teams from the two companies closely collaborate on joint solutions and business development opportunities concerning the creation of innovative mobile experiences for major retailers, involving visual product search.

When integrated into a retailer’s mobile application, the Slyce visual search platform allows users to snap a smartphone image of any 3D or 2D product, in any environment, and instantly access all direct, or closely matching, products from the retailer’s inventory. These items can then be purchased, there and then, at the exact moment of impulse.

The partnership will enable Photon to tailor Slyce technology to customer needs and more rapidly and seamlessly deploy Slyce’s technology into digital experiences created for its client roster of Fortune 500 brands and retailers.
