Lindenwood's Online Education Programs for Veterans Ranked Among the Best
St. Charles, Mo (PRWEB) May 28, 2015 -- Lindenwood University announced today U.S. News and World Report’s 2015 ranking of online education programs for veterans recognized Lindenwood in several areas, including bachelor’s programs, graduate business programs, MBA, and graduate education programs.
Lindenwood’s best ranking was for online bachelor’s programs, which placed 87th in the nation and fifth among schools in Missouri. The online MBA was ranked 103rd, nationally, and sixth in Missouri. Graduate business programs were ranked 123rd in the nation and fifth in Missouri, and graduate education programs were ranked 143rd in the nation and sixth in Missouri.
The rankings, now in their third year, identify 737 programs that provide veterans with high-quality, flexible online education options across eight categories, according to a press release issued by U.S. News and World Report. To qualify, an online degree program has to be certified for the GI Bill and must report participation in the Yellow Ribbon Program.
“When veterans return to higher education they can experience unique challenges during their transition out of the military and into civilian life,” said Brian Kelly, editor and chief content officer at U.S. News.
Lindenwood Vice President for Enrollment Management Joe Parisi said the ranking is a reflection on Lindenwood’s overall commitment to its students.
“This is truly an honor and is representative of the Lindenwood community as a whole,” said Joe Parisi, Lindenwood’s vice president for enrollment management. “We are grateful, year after year, as talented and diligent students actively engage in Lindenwood University’s liberal arts education. The Lindenwood experience provides education in both the theory and practice and I believe that Lindenwood can best be described as a model example of a progressive institution. As we look to the new academic year, there continues to be a thirst for excellence in all that we do. This is the defining quality of Lindenwood University.”
