Inn of the Turquoise Bear Awarded TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence for Five Consecutive Years
Santa Fe, New Mexico (PRWEB) May 27, 2015 -- Inn of the Turquoise Bear Bed & Breakfast announced today that it has been recognized as a TripAdvisor® Certificate of Excellence Hall of Fame winner. The Certificate of Excellence award celebrates excellence in hospitality and is given only to establishments that consistently achieve great traveler reviews on TripAdvisor. The ‘Hall of Fame’ was created to honor those businesses that have earned a Certificate of Excellence for five consecutive years. With the TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence based on customer reviews, the accolade is a remarkable affirmation of our commitment to excellence.”
About The Inn of the Turquoise Bear:
Nestled under towering pines with views of the Sangre de Cristo mountains, this quintessential rambling adobe estate was once the home of Witter Bynner, American poet, writer and scholar. For almost 50 years, Witter helped to shape the richness of the Santa Fe arts culture with his close friends and frequent guests: O’Keeffe, Cather, Millay, Lawrence, Stravinsky, O Henry and many others. Beautiful gardens, gourmet breakfasts, afternoon refreshments, and comforting amenities at this historic Santa Fe bed and breakfast are what sets this inn apart from others. Located a short walk from all the charms of Santa Fe, NM, the inn is ideally situated to experience world-class dining, art galleries, shopping, performance arts, music, opera, hiking, and skiing. The Inn of the Turquoise Bear is the perfect home-base for exploring the Land of Enchantment including O’Keeffe Country, Taos, Native American Pueblos, wineries, and the endless charms of Northern New Mexico.
Owners Dan Clark and David Solem purchased the property from Robert Frost and Ralph Bolton in 2014, when Dan who is Innkeeper of the Inn, left his corporate role as Vice President of Human Resources and Organizational Development of Merieux NutriSciences headquartered in Chicago, Illinois. When asked about it Dan said “Owning and operating an Inn has been a dream of mine for over 20 years. I’ve always found B&B guests to be very optimistic travellers. My team enjoys meeting wonderful people from around the world and introducing them to Santa Fe and our Land of Enchantment. We love finding special and unique ways to delight our guests.”
"Winning the TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence for five consecutive years is a remarkable feat. TripAdvisor is pleased to induct five-time award winners into the ‘Hall of Fame’,” said Marc Charron President, TripAdvisor for Business. “By putting a spotlight on businesses that are focused on consistently delivering great service to customers, TripAdvisor not only helps drive an improvement to hospitality standards around the world, it also gives businesses both large and small the ability to shine and stand out from the competition.”
When selecting Certificate of Excellence winners, TripAdvisor uses a proprietary algorithm to determine the honorees that takes into account the quality, quantity and recency of reviews and opinions submitted by travelers on TripAdvisor over a 12-month period as well as business’s tenure and ranking on the Popularity Index on the site. To qualify, a business must maintain an overall TripAdvisor bubble rating of at least four out of five, have a minimum number of reviews and must have been listed on TripAdvisor for at least 12 months.
