"In America" with Host James Earl Jones to Develop New Content on Ecotourism
(PRWEB) May 28, 2015 -- James Earl Jones, the host of the popular television series “In America,” will introduce a new segment that investigates the increasing popularity of ecotourism. Ecotourism is being a responsible traveler. It means visiting an area to enjoy a natural setting and not disturb the lives of the indigenous people or wildlife.
Ecotourism conserves the natural environment by bringing money to areas that would otherwise be subject to over-development and exploitation. The tourism money provides the financial resources needed by the locals to continue in a sustainable way. When tourists come to visit the natural settings in such a way that causes no harm to the environment, they automatically preserve it. The locals soon realize that it is the natural setting that is the attractiveness, which bring the visitors.
This new segment will demonstrate the positive effects of Ecotourism. To be done properly ecotourism is usually small-scale and tourists need to have respect for the pristine locations that they visit while making a low-impact on the environment. The piece will feature experts who help explain how that is accomplished.
Join James Earl Jones in this fascinating “In America” segment as he explores the issues and ideas of ecotourism as it relates to sustainability. The program is not distributed by PBS, and In America is an independent content producer.
