ACN Golf Tournament Breaks Records with Donation to Ronald McDonald House
Concord, NC (PRWEB) May 28, 2015 -- ACN, Inc. held their fifth annual golf event and raised $287,560 for the Ronald McDonald House of Charlotte.
More than 140 golfers and celebrities from across the U.S. played in the Ronald McDonald House Celebrity Golf Tournament Monday, May 18, enjoying a round of golf at the Trump National Golf Club in Mooresville, NC, and raising funds for the Ronald McDonald House of Charlotte – a home away from home for families with sick children. Some of our celebrity captains included Carolina Panthers kicker, Graham Gano, Charlotte Hornets player Gerald Henderson, and former NFL player Donnie Shell.
The event concluded with dinner and a reception with a grand finale check presentation. ACN presented a check in the amount of $287,560 to the Ronald McDonald House of Charlotte, 100% of which goes directly to the House.
The annual tournament’s Titanium sponsor was Dish Network, who works with ACN on offering satellite TV to ACN’s customers. Seventy-five total corporate sponsors and over 30 foursomes made this day possible. ACN, Inc. has long been a supporter of the Ronald McDonald House Charities and of the House in Charlotte. In 2008, the company chose Ronald McDonald Houses as its global charity and began collecting donations for the local Ronald McDonald House chapter at each of its quarterly training events held throughout the world raising millions of dollars for this worthwhile charity.
Mona Johnson-Gibson, Executive Director of the Ronald McDonald House of Charlotte stated, “We are so fortunate to have the support of ACN! We always have a blast at the events they host for us throughout the year but the best thing about them – they are focused on the families we serve. We couldn’t be happier by the generous donation that allows us to continue our mission of serving the families of seriously ill or injured children!”
“This tournament – bringing people together for the greater good is what ACN is all about. Being able to support an organization year after year whose main purpose is to provide families with the care and support they need and deserve during their darkest hours, is what keeps this tournament going and keeps us humbled. I would like to thank all of the sponsors, celebrities, golfers and volunteers who made this event not only successful but record-breaking. I am excited to see how we are going to make this bigger and better in the future!” said ACN Chairman and Co-Founder Robert Stevanovski.
