MicroLearning Suite Now Available from Thomson Reuters
New York, N.Y. (PRWEB) May 28, 2015 -- Thomson Reuters, the world’s leading source of intelligent information for businesses and professionals, today announced a MicroLearning Suite which enables organizations’ managers and employees to keep their knowledge and skills up-to-date through a process of continuous education. The suite, intended as a supplement to the Thomson Reuters 800+ customizable compliance training course library, consists of a collection of short and impactful, five-minute, interactive learning modules that reinforce key compliance concepts.
The Thomson Reuters MicroLearning Suite features three types of learning modules. “MicroLearning Core” modules are released quarterly and reinforce fundamental concepts by highlighting a variety of timeless compliance topics. “MicroLearning Currents” cover topics “ripped from the headlines” of regulatory news events. “MicroLearning Updates” educate employees on mid-year regulatory changes without requiring them to repeat an entire course. The course titles in the current Thomson Reuters MicroLearning Suite include Prevention of Corrupt Practices, Conduct Risk, Market Conduct and Fraud, Privacy, Confidentiality and Information Security, Maintaining a Respectful Workplace, and Risk Management. Additional courses will be added to the suite every month.
“The strategy behind how and when employees are trained can be as important as what they are trained on,” said Andrew Rawson, Global Head of eLearning Development at Thomson Reuters. “Our MicroLearning Suite minimizes the ‘knowledge gap’ between what employees learn and what they actually retain. We address long-term retention by reinforcing the knowledge through periodic, interactive, short, learning modules based on current events and real-life situations. In addition, our MicroLearning Suite gives organizations a system for keeping their employees up-to-date on changes to laws and regulations that impact their day-to-day business activities.”
