Cincinnati VA Medical Foster Home Open House
Cincinnati, Ohio (PRWEB) May 28, 2015 -- Cincinnati Veterans Affairs Medical Center invites caregivers and Veterans to an informational Open House May 30 from noon-2p.m. in the auditorium. This event provides an opportunity to learn about how caregivers can offer full-time assistance to Veterans in their homes.
Caregivers are approved through a comprehensive survey process conducted by the medical center staff. In order to qualify a personal residence as a medical foster home, the caregiver must provide monthly care including room and laundry service, personal care, three meals a day, medication management, activities, 24 hours supervision and assistance with activities of daily living.
Veterans are welcome to attend and find out more about how to enroll in the Medical Foster Home program. This is a long-term arrangement and can be mutually beneficial for Veterans and caregivers.
