Ancient Selling Method Turns to New Technology to Improve Process

The first recorded instance of an auction in history was in 500 B.C. with the auction method becoming more commonplace with the Roman Empire using auctions to liquidate property and goods referred to as the Atrium Auctionarium. This method was also used by Roman soldiers to share out the spoils of war, and would have catered well to their feelings of triumph in victory.
Typically, a traditional personal property or real estate auction is held where the property is so potential buyers must travel to a specific location. The Morris Auction Group smartphone app gives the auctioneer the ability to deliver the auction directly to potential buyers wherever they may be physically so bidders do not have to travel to a specific location.
