Addiction Freedom Los Angeles Offers Cost-Effective Choice for Recovery
Los Angeles, CA: (PRWEB) May 30, 2015 -- A new approach to drug and alcohol addiction comes to California this June with the launching of Addiction Freedom Los Angeles. The announcement today of the first 3-day intensive workshop in South Pasadena on June 12th represents the growth of choice in recovery, giving Angelenos an alternative or supplement to traditional "rehab."
“For most Americans struggling with addiction to alcohol or other drugs, the steps to recovery are limited,” says Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist Stephanie Voss, co-founder of Addiction Freedom Los Angeles.
“It shouldn’t be only celebrities and the ultra-rich who have access to science-based complementary techniques like hypnotherapy, mindfulness and NLP,” she added. “We know that 12-step works very well for the people it works for. But people who need outside help, or who aren’t comfortable in that model have very little choice, unless they can afford a spa-style rehab center.” That’s why Voss, an ex-smoker who herself quit tobacco with the help of hypnosis, teamed up with clinical hypnotherapist Pierre-Etienne Vannier, an experienced leader of groups on trauma, healing and addiction both in Los Angeles and Cairo. Along with licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Anne Doll, they’ve created a 3-day workshop teaching techniques that work on an emotional level to handle cravings, increase motivation and to create strong, healthy identities for clients.
The AFLA workshop is designed for people who are struggling on their own, are tapering off suboxone (a substitute for opiates) or have finished a residential drug rehabilitation and want tools they can use every day to feel stronger and more confident.
“You can feel healthy. You can feel more in control. You can recover from a urge or even a slip without having to start from the very beginning,” says Vannier. The tools are helpful for sober living, and for people who cannot afford a month-long absence from work, as the trauma specialist explains in the launch video at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sjPziYVP-7Q.
The 3-day workshops offer 18-hours of coaching over a single long weekend, with recordings for at-home reinforcement. Follow-up is available in group or private sessions in person or via Skype. The first workshop takes place June 12th in South Pasadena.
