Lavu Inc. Strengthens Ties to Community with Sponsorship of Special Olympics New Mexico 2015 Summer Games
Albuquerque, NM (PRWEB) May 28, 2015 -- Lavu Inc. has announced their partnership with Special Olympics New Mexico (SONM) and will provide their modern iPad POS technology for the 2015 State Summer Games. Lavu will be on-site Friday, May 29 to assist with the implementation of the software program.
Lavu has provided technology that will allow Special Olympics New Mexico (SONM) to check-in hundreds of volunteers electronically at their State Summer Games – something previously unavailable at SONM events. Lavu modified their software allowing SONM to create a platform to manage volunteer data as well as accept donations throughout the State Summer Games.
“We are excited for the opportunities this partnership will provide for our athletes and families during our largest athletic competition of the year,” said Executive Director, Randy Mascorella. “The technological advancements made possible by Lavu will directly impact the quality of the programs we will be offering at this year’s Summer Games.”
As an in-kind sponsor of these games, Lavu will provide two iPads, a Lavu Pro account, and free hosting. Merchant processing will be done through Mercury Payments, and Zephyr Hardware is donating credit card swipers and iPad stands. Additionally, training on the software will be provided and Lavu employees will be present at the event ensuring this new application of their product is a success. Plans are already in place for Lavu to continue providing their services in subsequent SONM events.
Throughout the Summer State Games this weekend, athletes will compete in four different sports: Track and Field, Bocce, Soccer, and Volleyball. The event features an Olympic Village with free health screenings. Saturday evening, Cliff’s Amusement Park hosts a catered dinner and Victory Dance.
