Button’s platform is the best in the world at building cross-app connections that drive mobile commerce
New York, NY (PRWEB) June 01, 2015
Button, a pioneer in mobile deep linking, today announced it has partnered with Foursquare to enable consumers to book an Uber directly from the Foursquare app. Powered by Button, the partnership between Foursquare and Uber marks Button’s launch on the Android platform and first expansion into international markets. Now, Button’s DeepLink Commerce technology is live in Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, South Africa and the United Kingdom, in addition to the U.S.
“Button’s platform is the best in the world at building cross-app connections that drive mobile commerce,” said Michael Jaconi, Co-Founder and CEO, Button. “Our goal of facilitating partnerships and enabling intelligent app to app connections is resonating and has given us the opportunity to work with some of the most innovative mobile companies in the world including Uber and Foursquare. Button's technology is shaping the future of mobile commerce.”
When a Foursquare user has indicated interest in going to a place they have searched for, Button’s DeepLink Commerce platform will intelligently surface an Uber button, allowing them to order an Uber to their destination with a few simple taps. Button’s technology automatically pulls information from the Foursquare app, and deep links this content into Uber, sending traffic seamlessly from one app experience to another. This proprietary technology enables consumers to discover and re-engage with the mobile apps that they love through the simple touch of a button in a manner that is additive to their mobile experience.
“Using Button simplified the process of integrating Uber into Foursquare. With a few lines of code we were able to create a seamless experience when requesting an Uber built directly into our app, saving us time and effort,” said Noah Weiss, Senior Vice President of Product Management, Foursquare.
Button provides the simplest toolset for developers to get their apps up and running with deep linking and provides a platform for enabling partnerships. Advertising in mobile isn’t inspiring, and Button seeks to build experiences that are. The Button platform not only drives revenue, but apps see higher engagement when Button is implemented.
Button works with some of the most innovative companies in the mobile commerce industry, and the company’s focus on intelligently driving app to app commerce has led to its explosive growth in just one year. Button is leading the industry creating excellent user experiences by offering relevant, mobile commerce connections at the precise time and place where intent is the highest.
To celebrate the launch of this new feature, Uber is offering a special credit to new users when they download the app through Foursquare and enter the promotion code "FOURSQUARE".
Button is the leading mobile platform powering deep link connections into the mobile app economy through its proprietary DeepLink Commerce platform. Button’s plug and play solutions allow app developers to offer contextual extensions to their app experiences that drive revenue through affiliated commerce. The company was founded in 2014 and is based in New York City. Button has raised more than $14 million in seed and Series A funding from Redpoint Ventures, Greycroft Partners, DCM Ventures, Atlas Ventures, VaynerRSE and others.
