Vasont Systems, a top component content management system (CCMS) software provider, has appointed medical device labeling and automation expert Stephen Huffman as a Senior Content Analyst and Quality Coordinator for the company. He will play an essential role in the refinement of the company’s quality management system and will assist in the implementation and support of the Vasont® CCMS.
With more than 13 years of experience in the regulated medical device industry, Mr. Huffman implemented and managed the Vasont CCMS solution used across multiple divisions of Medtronic, one of the world’s premier medical technology and service companies, for the automated production of global product labeling. In his 30-year career in electronic publishing, he has been involved with the publication of a wide range of content including medical device manufacturing, engineering, legal, insurance, accounting, and scientific information. Using his knowledge of these businesses, he has moved publishing groups in various industries toward automated solutions to achieve efficiency, cost reduction, and technology-enabled quality.
In his new role at Vasont Systems, Mr. Huffman will lead the company’s Quality Management Program and provide his expertise on FDA compliance and software validation for medical device, pharmaceutical, and regulated industry customers. He will also provide XML data services, training, and consulting for the Vasont CCMS to existing clients as well as system configuration and implementation of the Vasont CCMS to new clients.
