Botox, Wrinkles and Double Chins: The Most-Asked Beauty Problems According to Google
Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) May 29, 2015 -- On May 21, 2015, Elle Magazine in article titled “How Old Should You Really be When You Get Botox?” reported on the four most commonly searched beauty and anti-aging questions according to Google. Elle partnered with Google to determine these results and then sought expert help to answer these questions. The most searched question in California, for example, is how to keep neck skin tight. In South Carolina the most common search query is what's the appropriate age to start receiving Botox injections. (see: goo.gl/ML8J9k)
“I’m curious to know how they compiled their data,” says Dr. Simon Ourian, Medical Director of Epione Beverly Hills. “We treat lax neck skin every day so I’m not at all surprised this would make the list. On the other hand, I don’t get very many inquiries about which foods increase skin elasticity.”
According to the Elle Magazine article, the recommended treatment for loose neck skin employs collagen-stimulating ultrasound and radio-frequency devices. As far as daily maintenance, neck skin should be treated with the same products used for the face rather than those formulated for the thicker skin of the body. In order to increase the skin’s elasticity, the article recommends eating foods packed with omega-3 essential fatty acids such as trout, sardines, and wild salmon.
“I agree that one’s appearance rather than one’s age dictates when it might be appropriate to start Botox injections,” says Dr. Ourian. “As far as wrinkles, we prefer to treat them with Coolaser rather than hide them with makeup.”
Dr. Ourian has been a pioneer in laser technology and non-invasive aesthetic procedures including UltraShape, VelaShape, Restylane, Juvéderm, Radiesse, Sculptra, and CoolSculpting. These treatments are used for the correction or reversal of a variety of conditions such as acne, acne scars, skin discoloration, wrinkles, unwanted fat, stretch marks, varicose veins, cellulite, and others. More information about plastic surgery can be found on Epione’s website.
