Aerospace Growth Continues in Mexicali with NC Dynamics
Mexicali, Baja California (PRWEB) July 14, 2015 -- “Mexicali is the ideal location for access to the Southwestern US market, even the rest of the US,” said Victor Navarro, NC Dynamics Director of Operations for Mexicali. The Long Beach, CA based company recently expanded its operations to Mexicali, providing metal machining for the aerospace sector. “NC Dynamics has a bright future in Mexicali, with much potential for growth because of the expanding aerospace cluster here,” said Victor.
NC Dynamics produces the skeletal structures for airplanes. Using aluminum and titanium alloys, the company produces 160 parts per week at present, ramping up to over 500 parts per week by the end of 2015. With four fully operational CNC machines, two more coming online shortly, and then a ramp up to 16 machines by the end of the year, NC Dynamics will be providing parts to its customers throughout Northwest Mexico and the Southwestern US, even into Texas. As part of the Boeing supply chain, the expansion into Mexicali is a key component of the company’s growth plans.
Having produced products in Long Beach for over 30 years, NC Dynamics knew it needed to expand internationally to retain its competitive position. After looking at other areas, they decided on Mexicali because of its potential for growth, access to markets, and a stable and trained workforce. Citing the growing aerospace cluster, Mr. Navarro talked about that Mexicali was ideal for the company because there already is a supply of both potential customers and trained employees that know the industry. While NC Dynamics trains the CNC operators in house on their specific process, Mexicali through its education system, including the Center for Industrial Training (CECATI), provides a ready workforce for aerospace and metal manufacturers. NC Dynamics is planning to employ 40-45 residents of Mexicali upon reaching full capacity.
“The central location and access to shipping to the entire US market is what made Mexicali ideal for us,” said Mr. Navarro. NC Dynamics with its Mexicali expansion sees the need to be able to provide its products to aerospace suppliers throughout the US.
“Mexicali is excited to welcome NC Dynamics to our growing cluster of aerospace manufacturers. We know Mexicali will continue to provide this company and other aerospace organizations with the best workforce available, helping the businesses to grow and prosper,” said Mexicali Mayor Jaime Diaz.
The Industrial Development Commission of Mexicali provided assistance to NC Dynamics throughout the site selection and expansion process. According to Mr. Navarro, “the Industrial Development Commission was an extremely valuable resource, providing us access to their network of area experts, including attorneys, accountants, shippers, etc. They are very knowledgeable.”
“Congratulations to our staff and membership for helping NC Dynamics to expand operations into Mexicali. The Industrial Development Commission of Mexicali with its excellent staff and network of members were pleased to provide advice and support during the entire expansion process. We happily welcome NC Dynamics to Mexicali,” said Alfredo Garcia, President of the Industrial Development Commission of Mexicali.
