Famed St. John’s Fashion House, A Renowned Life Coach and Special Charity Join Forces for Autism
Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) May 30, 2015 -- High couture fashion, a renowned life coach, and a charitable organization collided for a special event all to benefit kids with autism on May 6 in Los Angeles.
Areva Martin, Founder and President of the non-profit, The Special Needs Network Inc., and Coral Grant, the CEO/Founder of The Secret to Life Coaching, attended host and fashion house St. John’s ‘Shopping for a Cause’ held at St. John in Beverly Hills, CA.
The Special Needs Network based in Los Angeles was created specifically to raise awareness of issues that impact individuals with autism and related disabilities living in underserved and marginalized communities.
"St. John is such an amazing organization, and it is such an honor to support other humanitarians that stand for world peace and special causes," said Coral Grant, CEO/Founder of The Secret to Life Coaching, who also contributed $5,000 to The Special Needs Network.
St. John is an American luxury house that was founded in 1962. A fascinating coming together of craft and couture based on the premise of a simple, yet elegant knit dress. Over the years, the brand has evolved, but the basis for the collection remains the same today as it did from the very start — effortless, alluring and refined clothing that appeals to women all over the world. Unique American design with a core in signature innovative knits.
“I am so grateful to St. John, and everyone who attended ‘Shopping for a Cause,’ it means so much not only to me, but to those who are a part of the organization from the kids to their parents,” Martin said.
Over the years, Martin has raised millions of dollars for autism and is leading the organization on a campaign to build the state’s first-ever autism medical health home for kids as a part of the historic Martin Luther King Hospital health campus.
Additionally, 10 percent of the sales at ‘Shopping for a Cause’ on May 6 went back to The Special Needs Network.
Others attending ‘Shopping for a Cause’ included: Melissa Tietz (President of The Release), who gave $2,000, Jackie Gomez (VP of The Release), Teresa Hess (CEO of WIN TV Network), Deena Morton (COO of The Release) and Lolly Aita (Executive VP of Sales - The Release & The Secret to Life Coaching.
