Tamils for Obama Congratulates and Expresses "Full Confidence" in Cameron's Second Term in Office
New York, New York (PRWEB) May 30, 2015 -- Tamils for Obama extended their congratulations to David and his party after winning as a majority party in United Kingdom's parliamentary election in May 2015:
“We have great hopes for David Cameron performance in office in his second term. We are very satisfied his first term in his office. We know that UK policy has been a key issue for many British Tamil voters, and we are certain that Mr. Cameron is aware of that. We are also sure that they know of the human rights implications of the UK's policies toward Sri Lanka, and know of Tamils' aspirations for a safe national homeland. We are confident your government continuously will take appropriate actions."
The letter ended with, "We would like to thank you for your trip to Jaffna in 2013 as prime minister of United Kingdom and your concern for Tamils in northeastern Sri Lanka."
Tamils for Obama is a politically active group of Tamil Americans. They believe that over 70,000 Tamil civilians were massacred during the last weeks of the Sri Lankan ethnic war. They have also watched the behavior of the Sri Lankan Singhalese victors after the war, and strongly conclude that Tamils in Sri Lanka will only be safe when this unfortunate island is divided into two states.
