JustServe.org Gives Parque Del Mar in San Clemente, California, a Facelift
San Clemente, CA (PRWEB) May 31, 2015 -- More than 200 volunteers from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints congregations and the community at large in San Clemente and San Juan Capistrano worked to clean up and beautify Parque Del Mar in San Clemente in support of Earth Day on April 25, 2015. The volunteers cleaned and beautified the park as part of the Mormon Church’s statewide day of service, now in its seventh year.
This is only one of many service projects that a new service website, JustServe.org, hopes to accomplish. The site, newly launched, is a repository where local organizations can list their needs for service and volunteers can find places to serve.
"It is a pleasure to work with JustServe.org to serve our local community," said Amy Cook, media relations director for the San Clemente stake of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. "JustServe.org has many local service opportunities that range from beautification projects to volunteering in nursing homes. It is a privilege to volunteer for my local community through the benefits provided by JustServe.org."
