New Audio Engagement Company, DGital Media, Acquires WYD Media Ad Sales
New York, NY (PRWEB) June 03, 2015 -- Dgital Media (http://www.dgitalmedia.com/), the audio engagement company that partners with media brands to create, distribute, and monetize spoken word audio products, has announced the acquisition of WYD Media Ad Sales, a New York-based advertising sales company that specializes in spoken word audio.
WYD Media founder Ron Hartenbaum will become Managing Director of DGital Media and WYD’s John Murphy will join as President.
WYD’s current client rosters includes a dozen brands and personalities including Fox News Radio, Thom Hartmann, Michael Smerconish, Ed Schultz, Stephanie Miller, and others.
According to Spencer Brown, CEO, DGital Media, “This new acquisition expands DGital’s capabilities in the marketplace providing us with research, analytics accounting and of course a deeper sales force. We now have the ability to build creative audio content for client brands and personalities and monetize them on all three major audio platforms - broadcast, satellite and online.”

In addition to a New York-based ad sales team, the acquisition brings two new sales offices, one in Detroit and one in Los Angeles, to be headed by Steven Cohen, Senior Vice President of West Coast Sales. The acquisition also includes distribution capabilities, research and analytics as well as accounting.
DGital Media’s first venture, announced last week, will be the Re/code Radio network which will feature a portfolio of programs starting with Re/code Decode, to be hosted by noted technology journalist Kara Swisher and slated to go live in June.
