Lochbridge Unlocks the Potential of Data for Drivers, OEMs and Dealerships at TU-Automotive Detroit
DETROIT, Mich. (PRWEB) June 02, 2015 -- Lochbridge, a leading provider of automotive connectivity services and solutions, will host a keynote discussion and exhibit at this year’s TU-Automotive Detroit, held June 3-4 at The Suburban Collection Showcase in Novi, Mich. The company’s panel, new consumer study and recently launched solutions will show how the automotive industry can more efficiently use data collected from in-vehicle technology to provide a better experience for drivers, OEMs and dealerships.
Lochbridge’s keynote panel, “The Data Exchange: Getting the Balance Right,” will explore the evolution of data gathering and analysis within the industry. Panelists include:
• Raj Paul, Vice President, Automotive and Emerging Technologies, Lochbridge
• David Dimeo, Director, Connected Car Innovations, FordDirect
• Bryan Biniak, Vice President and General Manager, Microsoft
• Mike Nielsen, Senior Director and CSO, B2B Cloud, Cisco
• John Correia, Managing Director, Connected Strategy Advisors
Panelists will discuss insights from a recent Lochbridge study, which explores consumer trust levels when sharing both vehicle and personal information with car-based applications. The discussion will explore why consumers feel more comfortable sharing information with their smartphones despite the benefits attached to sharing this information with automotive platforms. Panelists will offer a 360 degree view of the data exchange – representing OEMs, dealerships and developers – and will expand on privacy concerns, data ownership and how each party can use data to unlock the true potential of vehicle connectivity.
The company, in collaboration with Lear and Microsoft, will also debut a joint solution created to help OEMs at the dealer-level seamlessly improve vehicle performance through an OTA tablet-based solution. Additionally, the company will showcase its new App Certification Environment (ACE) concept, a cloud-based ecosystem designed to accelerate innovation by giving developers easier access to and OEMs more control of the development process. ACE’s virtual bench allows developers to bring new ideas to life faster, while ensuring apps are “automotive grade.”
The third iteration of the company’s LAYR solution, LAYR3, will also be available for demos in the booth. This latest enhancement focuses on increasing the data analytic capabilities, helping OEMs and developers better capture and comprehend data gathered from driver and vehicle activity. Through a partnership with TrafficLand, the nation’s largest authorized aggregator of real-time traffic video, LAYR also seamlessly integrates live traffic camera feeds and video-derived data into the experience.
“As Lochbridge evolves alongside the changing needs of the automotive industry, we look forward to being a continued resource for companies looking to transform big data into usable information and solutions,” said Paul. “We are excited to debut a new suite of solutions that will move the needle with smart analytics in the industry.”
