Longtime DIA Champion and PAREXEL Executive Honored with Global Inspire Award at DIA’s Annual Meeting
Washington, DC (PRWEB) June 03, 2015 -- Alberto Grignolo, PhD, will be honored with a Global Inspire Award at DIA’s upcoming Annual Meeting. DIA’s Global Inspire Award program recognizes the organization’s outstanding volunteers for their leadership, level of excellence, and commitment to service on a global scale.
Grignolo will receive the Global Connector Award that annually recognizes one DIA member for meritorious service through a leadership role that has advanced the mission of DIA to foster innovation to improve health and well-being worldwide.
“As a member and volunteer with DIA for over thirty years, Dr. Grignolo has demonstrated exceptional dedication to the organization,” said Barbara Lopez Kunz, DIA’s global chief executive. “We are honored that Dr. Grignolo dedicates a substantial portion of his professional and personal time to advancing the mission of DIA through his many roles with the organization, including as deputy editor of our member magazine, Global Forum.”
Over the years, Grignolo has connected people around the world through his professional life as well as the many active roles he has performed on behalf of DIA. He serves on the faculty of DIA’s Regulatory Affairs training courses, has chaired and spoken at numerous DIA conferences, sessions and webinars, was the Program Chair for DIA’s 2007 Annual Meeting, and served on DIA’s Board of Directors.
Grignolo is currently a corporate vice president at PAREXEL International and serves on the Global Advisory Board of the Alliance for Clinical Research and Safety (ACRES). He is a former member of the Executive Committee of the Clinical Trials Transformation Initiative and previously served as an adviser to the Institute of Medicine on human subject protection in clinical trials and as a leader of several industry organizations.
