Design Firm Embraces Side Projects with Studio//Shift Gallery Event
Evanston, Illinois (PRWEB) June 04, 2015 -- The passion-driven side projects of NeigerDesign staff members will be on display at Botti Studio art gallery during the Open Studios Evanston citywide art gallery and artist studio event on June 6, 2015. Initiated last year for the company’s 25th anniversary, the art collaborative Studio//Shift enters its second year strong with eight participating artists, whose work includes paintings, prints, photographs, pottery, drawings, and jewelry. For Studio//Shift participants, having their personal art practices encouraged by their employer is a rare perk but one that developed naturally, as the artistic atmosphere that sparked the collaborative is an integral part of the company culture at NeigerDesign.
“Studio//Shift provides a way for us to develop our creative passions through group show, critique groups, and community arts involvement. There is a flipside to our design and marketing methodology and skills which reflects more intrinsic talents like art, theater and music where we can express ourselves without boundaries,” says Carol Neiger, president of NeigerDesign and an avid painter. Studio//Shift artists will be on-hand to discuss and sell their work at the Botti Studio art gallery from noon to 5 p.m. for Open Studios Evanston, and a reception with the artists will follow that evening from 6 to 8 p.m., and includes a special onsite improv comedy show. All events are free and open to the public.
Creativity meets collaboration with Studio//Shift, a unique way for design firm NeigerDesign to support its employees, both past and present. It is a catalyst for creative growth and a channel for idea and information sharing. The collaborative encourages and promotes each other’s personal artistic passions, which ignites and fuels the creativity and problem-solving talents that are employed in the daily work at NeigerDesign. Each artist contributes a distinctive perspective and style. The give and take of collaboration energizes the entire team and provides a wellspring of creative solutions, personally and professionally.
