Mental Health and Community Trust Dorset HealthCare choose Winscribe from Competitive Tender Process
London, UK (PRWEB) June 04, 2015 -- Following on from a rigorous tendering process, Dorset Healthcare University NHS Foundation Trust has awarded Winscribe to supply a digital dictation and correspondence platform to the entire Trust in a seven-year agreement.
Winscribe will be deployed to 800 clinical professionals within the Trust and across two divisions, Mental Health and Community Services. With the rollout of the new system, the Trust will be able to gain efficiencies and speed up turnaround times for the following type of documents:
• Clinical assessment letters
• Special reports
• Mental act forms
• Risk assessments
• Discharge summary Letters
The deal includes options for an integration of the solution with the Trust’s RIO Patient Administration System (PAS) for Mental Health and TPP SystmOne for Community Services.
Dorset Healthcare University NHS Foundation Trust provides services to 700,000 people, with the Trust looking to lower correspondence costs and deliver process improvement, ultimately supporting better patient care. The system is already installed and will be rolled out to initial teams over the following months.
In a statement, Nick Jenvey at Dorset Healthcare University NHS Foundation Trust said, “The tender process was a long and insightful journey, but Winscribe was clearly the perfect fit for our requirements and budget. We look forward to rolling out Winscribe and working with their team over the coming months.”
Business Development Director Colin Howman at Winscribe commented:
“We are delighted to have been selected by this significant Mental Health and Community Trust. Mental Health Trusts are focussing significant efforts on standardising and improving document production processes and we are delighted to have been endorsed by Dorset HealthCare. Hopefully they are already seeing that our speedy set up of the system is proof that selecting Winscribe was the right choice.”
