Chicago, Illinois (PRWEB) June 04, 2015
Leading omnichannel platform provider UniteU® announced today the availability of UMO™ Sales Assistant, a fully-integrated mobile engagement application for retailers that is easy to deploy, and that empowers retail sales personnel to transform the in-store customer experience and improve profitability. Attendees of the Internet Retailer Conference and Exposition (IRCE) can see a live demonstration by visiting the UniteU booth #1006 at the McCormick Place West exhibit hall during the event, June 2-5.
UMO Sales Assistant, is a sister solution to UMO™ Mobile POS, UniteU’s advanced retail sales assistant and payment solution that runs on iOS devices that have an attached barcode reader and transaction-processing sled. The UMO Sales Assistant features are similar to the mobile POS solution, except that the transaction hardware is not required for operation. This mean that retailers can inexpensively implement the solution to begin positively impacting their revenues immediately.
Using the application on any retailer-supplied Apple® iPad® or iPad mini® device, store associates are able to provide more value while engaging with customers by having instant access to relevant and precise information, including shopper buying history, rich product content, enterprise-wide visibility of inventory and smarter product cross-sell recommendations. This results in significant increases to average order values, in-store conversion rates and revenue.
“One of UniteU’s clients, a large cycling store chain, has been using the sales-assistive features of UMO to improve their ability to close large, high-dollar sales,” says Soumen Das, UniteU CEO and Founder. “The app gives personnel fast, intuitive access to value-added information including detailed product specs, inventory visibility throughout any of their stores, and rich content such as images and video to help sell items that are not in-stock at their current location.”
UMO Sales Assistant is a new breed of Cloud-connected smart mobility application. It leverages the power and flexibility of the underlying UniteU Commerce™ platform, an omnichannel commerce engine that embodies more than a decade of high-volume experience. During implementation, the solution is integrated and set up to synchronize with a retailer’s existing in-store and ecommerce systems, enabling it to become an conduit for rich data and product availability information.
With enterprise-wide inventory visibility the app provides an “endless aisle” that saves the sale when products are out-of-stock at a particular location. Sales personnel can order these products as ship-to items, and manually enter credit card information to transact with the customer in-aisle. This not only saves the sale, but drives up profitability by increasing in-store conversion and also by giving sales associates access to relational product data, such as similar items, recommended products and accessories, and best-selling items that increase the average order size.
“UMO Sales Assistant is a low-risk and low-cost way for retailers to deploy the most advanced sales associate technology available,” said Michael Montrose, VP Sales and Marketing for UniteU. “As retailers use the application to test and optimize its ability to drive revenue, they can then justify further progress by adding the transaction and scanning features available on the full UMO Mobile POS product.”
