SMB online retailers have access to price negotiation to engage visitors, convert comparison shoppers and increase revenue through new offering

PriceWaiter today announced the availability of personalized pricing to Bigcommerce’s 90,000 merchants. Through its ‘Name Your Price’ button, PriceWaiter allows shoppers to make offers on products sold through any of Bigcommerce’s clients’ stores, which the business owner can accept, reject or counter. Bigcommerce is a robust, flexible e-commerce platform that provides established and emerging brands with everything they need to launch, promote, manage and scale a successful online store.

"PriceWaiter is a prime example of a partner that brings a personalized buying experience to our thousands of merchants, and its team aligns with our vision of bringing e-commerce to every business owner, ” said Melanie Kalemba, SVP of sales and strategic business development for Bigcommerce. “Together our teams will deliver the best-in-class pricing options to our merchants, enabling their businesses to grow and sell more."

Merchants have a high degree of control over the appearance and utility of the PriceWaiter app. They can control the design and placement of the PriceWaiter button to best match their brand, have specific control over which products are offered for negotiation, and can to use cost and inventory data to automate offers based on their sales strategy. PriceWaiter enables merchants to make more money at no additional cost, while retaining relationships with their most loyal customers.

“Negotiation has been part of the buying and selling process for as long as markets have existed,” said Stephen Culp, CEO of PriceWaiter. “Until recently, merchants and their customers did not have an efficient means to negotiate the prices of most online purchases. This resulted in immeasurable lost sales for thousands of merchants. We set out to change that by offering a technology that facilitates a smooth, private transaction between buyer and seller that can be implemented anywhere on the web. Bigcommerce has more than 90,000 high-quality merchants that will be able to implement this technology quickly and begin selling more, immediately.”

PriceWaiter’s powerful retailer-facing dashboard gives the business owner access to advanced metrics to help them track PriceWaiter usage and maximize profits. In real time, merchants can track high-level information such as revenue growth, order volume, and conversion rates.

Bigcommerce retailers can both install and set up the PriceWaiter platform directly from their store backend at no additional cost. Everything required to start an online store to embedding the ‘Name Your Price’ button on their product pages can be handled in the Bigcommerce control panel.
