Surety One, Inc., national surety bond leader, announces that our company principal, Constantin Poindexter, has been named an Associate in Fidelity & Surety Bonding (AFSB). The designation is awarded by the American Institute For Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters.

The Associate in Fidelity and Surety Bonding is the surety industry’s only advanced academic designation and the profession’s summo honore. In addition to specific ethics course requirements, a candidate for this degree must pass rigorous national examinations in the Principles of Suretyship, Contract Surety Bonding, Commercial Surety and Crime Insurance, Business Law for Insurance Professionals, and Finance and Accounting for Insurance Professionals. Completing the AFSB program demonstrates the candidate’s highest level of commitment to the surety class of insurance business and his desire to obtain a profound understanding of the bond underwriting process.

Constantin Poindexter is the captive program manager of Janus Assurance Re and President of Surety One, Inc. Mr. Poindexter is a recognized expert in the surety bond field, has been a featured underwriter in multiple construction and insurance industry publications, and is the author of the definitive underwriting manual on bail surety.
