Akron, OH (PRWEB) June 09, 2015
Older adults looking for work will have a chance to get some professional advice June 15-19, from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm at the Job Search Training Class being held at OhioMeansJobs Tuscarawas County, located at 1260 Monroe St. N.W. in New Philadelphia. This event is being offered by Mature Services’ Employment & Training Solutions.
“We know how difficult it can be for people who have not looked for work in years to suddenly find themselves out of a job,” said Tammy Bigler, Project Director at the Canton office. “So much has changed in recent years, from internet job search and online applications, to the new trend in social media, and it can be overwhelming,” Bigler added.
The workshop is designed to review the best new methods and procedures to use, and to provide some assistance in designing a resume that will showcase the applicant’s skills to the best effect. Job application tips, job interview techniques and how to network and its importance will also be covered in the class.
This event will help older job seekers be more competitive in today’s job market, and help improve their chance of landing that job.
