Indian Motorcycle® has significant ties to the U.S. military and the Sturgis® Motorcycle RallyTM. The company heavily supported World Wars I and II by supplying motorcycles to the Allied Forces, and has been known for its support of the military ever since. Clarence “Pappy” Hoel started the rally in the 1930s after purchasing an Indian Motorcycle® franchise in Sturgis, South Dakota, and forming the Jackpine Gypsies Motorcycle Club. The 75th annual Sturgis® Motorcycle RallyTM formally runs Aug. 3 – 9, 2015.
“We are proud to become part of the Panama City Beach business community and Chamber of Commerce, and to offer these iconic bikes to the area,” said David Elder, general manager of Indian Motorcycle® of Panama City Beach. “There’s no better way to celebrate than by hosting an event for riders and military charities.”
Indian Motorcycle® of Panama City Beach offers sales, service, parts and accessories for the entire lineup of Indian® motorcycles, including the Indian® Chief® lineup, the Indian® Roadmaster™, the Indian® Scout™ and the all-new 2016 Indian® Chief® Dark Horse®. Indian Motorcycle® is currently offering a $1,000 “Honoring Heroes” bonus on select motorcycles for active or retired military, as well as police and fire personnel.
