South Korean-born actor James Han has stepped off the big stage and onto a slightly smaller one recently with more of an audience-participation production. Instead of performing "Macbeth", Mr. Han has been visiting establishments in and around Los Angeles, including All Saints Hospital, Alexandria House and Transitional Shelter House to name a few, and he is coaching young children in literacy through various motivational theater exercises.

James first started with the SAG foundation “StagePALS” (Performing Artists for Literacy in Schools), finding the whole experience extremely gratifying he then went on to both read for and teach hundreds of children throughout the Greater L.A. area. “I feel this project is a perfect avenue for me to give back in some way. Reading to the children and seeing them love to learn is extremely satisfying and knowing I am contributing to the next generation.”

In addition to his distinguished performance career in South Korea, James has already made a name for himself on the U.S. stage and screen, even catching the attention of Conan O’Brien and appearing on the popular comedian's world-famous “Conan O’Brien Show.” James even made headlines in the United States after appearing in the fascinating Korean "Twilight Zone" series.

James is also talented in writing and producing and is currently creating his own new media series, “I feel so blessed that I have surrounded myself with people of good faith, creating my own stuff helps me reach a mass audience in my own way.” As well as finding time to create his own projects James can be seen in the exciting film The Assassin, playing the title role. He also made in his own unique movie Memento Mori, which the ever busy actor produced, directed, wrote and starred in and has made quite a splash in the film festival circuit this year.
