Taiwan Tourism Bureau Promotional Event at Westfield Shopping Center San Francisco

Taiwan Tourism Bureau in San Francisco is promoting one of its major tourism themes “Time for Taiwan”- LOHAS (Lifestyles of Health and Sustainability) at the Westfield San Francisco Center on June 6 to June 7. A promotional booth will be set up to raise awareness of Taiwan's tourism resources in LOHAS, shopping, culinary arts, leisure activities and events. Invited by Taiwan Tourism Bureau, the tourism mascot, Mr. Oh! Bear, Director of Special Mission Department, is taking on the trans-Pacific mission to promote Taiwan Tourism at the booth, where a green screen photo-taking station is set up for event activities. Participating shoppers may choose from the selected breathtaking scenic destinations in Taiwan as backgrounds, including Taipei 101, Sun Moon Lake, Alishan Forest Railway and Taiwan sky lanterns, etc. Photo takers will receive their pictures along with a customized magnetic picture frame as souvenirs for their virtual Taiwan. In addition, Taiwan Bubble tea tasting will also be available in the afternoon for shoppers to have a taste of the refreshing sweet treat.

Taiwan is selected by the National Geographic as one of the "Best Trips 2015" and is highly praised as one of the 20 'must-see' places by the internationally renowned magazine. They have also included an in-depth coverage on traveling tips and highlights that showcase Taiwan's vast tourism resources. According to Sylvia Yu, Director of Taiwan Tourism Bureau in San Francisco, the Bureau has been progressively advancing in the tourism industry and hence the greatly boosted volume of international tourists. Taiwan is a popular destination where travelers will revisit because of its great food, breathtak-ing sceneries, and the unique local culture. “We hope the partnership with Westfield San Francisco Center will attract more American tourists who enjoy luxury tours to consider Taiwan as a destination and experience it firsthand," said Ms. Yu.    

During the 2-day event, Taiwan Tourism Bureau and Mr. Oh! Bear will be there to give out premiums and brochures of the Bureau's 6 major tourism themes. Shoppers are welcome to take a green screen photo with Taiwan's popular scenic backgrounds for a virtual experience of Taiwan's diversity, passion and energy and have a taste of Taiwan's charming tourist resources like LOHAS, shopping and culinary arts.
