When the “Entourage” film premieres this weekend, the big screen will boast some Big D style, thanks to the original designs of Bobby Schandra. The Dallas-based handbag and accessories designer has once again captured the attention of Hollywood, outfitting the cast of the movie with standout pieces from his eponymous collection.
While most of the details of the highly anticipated film adaptation of the hit HBO television series are still under wraps, some of Schandra’s hottest new designs, including luxe Italian leather handbags and the premier CZ jewelry line, could easily appear on the arms of returning and new cast members alike.
“We were thrilled to be back working with the ‘Entourage’ team,” says Schandra whose glittery, studded “Rockstar” bags, among other pieces, were originally featured on the HBO show. “’Entourage’ was the first TV series we worked with more than four years ago, so it’s a huge honor and very humbling to be singled out by them and to continue accessorizing the cast for the film.”
His eye-catching designs have also since appeared on a variety of TV shows from “The Vampire Diaries” to “Curb Your Enthusiasm,” “Law & Order” and, yes, TNT’s “Dallas.”
Schandra’s latest handbag collection, officially launching next month, incorporates chic, punchy hues such as hot corals and jade greens in snakeskin-printed Italian
leather, along with new must-have metallic and shiny patent bags.
“The standard colors of brown and black are no longer adequate in a handbag wardrobe—either onscreen or off-screen,” he says. “The bag is a direct expression of one’s personality and style.”
