CDI Computers launches a Chromebook line for education
Chicago, IL (PRWEB) June 08, 2015 -- EduGear™, a division of CDI Computers, has launched their new series of Chromebooks. Built to meet the rigorous demands of the classroom, these latest devices in the Chrome platform offer unprecedented affordability and performance. EduGear™ is the name representing a family of CDI products geared towards the education sector.
The eduGear™ Chromebook line is comprised of three series. The J and M Series are reasonably priced standard models with long-lasting memory and battery life, while the R Series Chromebook is a higher-end, ruggedized device built to withstand bumps and accidental drops from desktop height. The anti-glare screen lowers the risk of eyestrain, and the water-resistant keyboard channels liquid away from electronics in case of a spill.
“These devices offer great functionality at a reasonable price, coupled with the most affordable warranties in the industry today.” says Glenn Collins, Vice President of Business Development of CDI’s Mobile Computing Division. “We are excited with the early customer feedback about our new lineup of Chromebooks”, he added.
EduGear™ Chromebooks are cloud-based and deliver an instant-on experience. They are available with up to a 4-year-warranty, with the option to purchase extended coverage. With a wide range of services such as Pre-Rollout planning and White Glove, these Chromebooks are backed by the world-class support that CDI customers have come to know and trust.
“Chromebooks are fast becoming the preferred choice of mobile devices by educators. Recent data indicates that more than 60,000 schools nationwide will deploy Chromebooks over the next two years,” says John Babcock, Vice President of Business Development of CDI’s I.T. Infrastructure division.
CDI offers bundles of online curriculum and assessment tools, and device and classroom management tools with the eduGear™ Chromebooks. Product demos and order fulfillment have already begun.
