Real estate sales has always been an On-demand business. Agents market their services and wait for the phone the ring. On-demand platforms make the leap and streamline the process by connecting clients looking to view properties directly to agents
Boston, MA (PRWEB) June 10, 2015
Spaces was founded by Boston MA Real Estate Broker Robert Nichols. Robert has worked in real estate for over a decade and saw an opportunity to improve the way Boston tenants find apartments. As a result, he decided to create an innovative way for Boston renters to locate and view apartments on-demand.
Robert got the idea for Spaces after working with a renter that expressed his frustration with browsing on craigslist and getting no response or slow responses from landlords and agents. This led him to start thinking about an innovative and efficient way to close the communication gap. Fundamentally, Robert has always been committed to providing the highest level of service and leveraging the power of technology to do great work. Armed with this belief and a commitment to creating an efficient process, Spaces was born.
The standard rental process is marred with friction and lots of back and forth communication via phone calls, emails and text messages. Couple this with busy agents, landlords and property managers not responding to showing requests and you can quickly see why most renters are frustrated with the process. With Spaces a user can simply browse the site, find an apartment they like and set up a showing at a time that works for them. They are instantly sent a text message confirmation and within 10 minutes a Spaces agent provides an update with the showing instructions. By focusing on efficiency, Spaces enable users to find a place quickly and without the stress associated with inadequate communication.
Additionally, Robert’s belief in technology and commitment to exceptional service led him to create the Wiggle Room feature. As an experienced real estate broker, Robert understands the importance of making recommendations to his clients. With a growing business and limited time it became a challenge to provide individual property recommendations. The Wiggle Room feature is an algorithm that will display additional apartments in a user’s search results slightly outside of their search criteria. The additional properties displayed include apartments in the same neighborhood and price range with an additional bedroom or an apartment that is exactly what a users wants but slightly above or below their price range. Wiggle Room can be set to low, high or turned off completely, but aims to be a value added service for users with more flexibility.
With the rise of the on-demand workforce, it is important for real estate professionals to position themselves to connect with new clients using platforms and technologies that empower users to request their services On-demand. “Real estate sales has always been an On-demand business. Agents market their services and wait for the phone the ring. On-demand platforms make the leap and streamline the process by connecting clients looking to view properties directly to agents who are ready and able to help.” says Spaces Founder Robert Nichols. According to a recent report published by the freelancers union, a nonprofit organization and Elance-oDesk Inc, 53 Million Americans, or 34 percent of the American workforce are currently in freelance or independent contractor jobs. Real Estate agents have always been independent contractors and are already accustomed to being on-call, yet there are relatively few platforms that support connecting to agents on-demand. Real estate brokers and agents must continually connect with new clients and customers in order to build new relationships and grow their business. Spaces facilitates new connections by enabling Boston renters to set up showings on their time. Time is the new currency and in a competitive rental market like Boston, seeing a place today vs tomorrow can be the difference between winning big or missing out.
Spaces currently provides on-demand showings in Boston, Cambridge, Somerville, Quincy and Brookline. For more information about Spaces, visit http://www.SpacesRES.com or contact Robert Nichols at 617-674-2077.
