Michael F. Maurer AIA Joins Chicago Office of Perkins Eastman as Principal
New York, NY (PRWEB) June 09, 2015 -- Top international design and architecture firm Perkins Eastman is pleased to welcome Michael F. Maurer AIA as the firm’s newest Principal, based in its Chicago office. Maurer brings 25 years of experience as a design principal, project architect/designer, and team leader for developer-driven hospitality projects, ranging from the Waldorf Astoria and Godfrey Hotel in Chicago to the Al Ghurair twin tower hotel and serviced apartments in Dubai, UAE, among numerous others in the U.S. and the Middle East.

Maurer comes to Perkins Eastman from Lessard Design and prior to that The Gettys Group, where he served as Principal for seven years and preceded by Lucien Lagrange Architects, where he served as Associate, also for seven years. During this time Maurer established his versatility for project management, strategic planning, and providing design direction for many of the world’s most respected hospitality brands, a versatility that will become invaluable to Perkins Eastman’s growing international hospitality practice area.
In addition to a host of luxury hotels, boutique hotels and resort properties, both big and small, Maurer has a wealth of design experience in adaptive reuse, multi-family, and mixed-use projects. Maurer earned his BS in Architectural Studies in 1990 from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He is a registered architect in Illinois and Colorado.
