Send Word Now announced today that it has been awarded a contract for emergency notification services from NJEDge.Net. Send Word Now is the leading provider of enterprise critical communication services, including emergency notification and mobile collaboration.
NJEDge.Net is a non-profit technology consortium of academic and research institutions in New Jersey that introduces emerging technologies and state-of-the-art networking to its partners in academia, government and industry for inter-institutional collaboration, scholarship and research. The buying schedule, established through this new agreement via a competitive selection process, will allow NJEDge.Net members to easily and affordably contract for Send Word Now’s emergency notification and enterprise communication services.
A committee consisting of CIOs and other senior staff from numerous NJEDge.Net members reviewed vendor responses to a published RFP. The committee unanimously agreed that Send Word Now was best suited to meet the various needs of NJEDge.Net organizations.
“We are very pleased with our selection of Send Word Now as a preferred provider for emergency notification services,” said George Laskaris, President and CEO of NJEDge.Net. “This agreement reflects our efforts to provide members with access to quality technologies, while enabling them to achieve their missions more cost-effectively.”
“We are extremely proud to be able to provide our services to academic and research institutions throughout New Jersey,” said Tony Schmitz, President and CEO of Send Word Now. “Rapid and reliable mass communication is essential in today’s world, and Send Word Now is ideally suited to support the needs of all NJEDge.Net members.”
