Transtector Systems Launches ALPU Lite and ALPU Fit Series
(PRWEB) June 18, 2015 -- Transtector Systems, a Smiths Power business, today announced the introduction of the ALPU Lite and ALPU Fit Series, the newest additions to the company’s widely deployed data line surge protection product platform.
Transtector’s ALPU Lite and ALPU Fit Series protect GbE, PoE+ and GbE, PoE++ networks in indoor and IP65 applications, and they are designed to specifically provide ease of installation. The ALPU Lite and ALPU Fit series offer gas tube and hybrid technology options, providing superior and cost-effective protection for data speeds up to 1 Gb/s.
“We are pleased to expand Transtector Systems ALPU series to our global customers,” said Anand Krishna, Vice President of Business Development, Smiths Power. “With the voice of customers in mind, we engineered the ALPU Lite and ALPU Fit to address 51W and 100W requirements and power next-generation radios with the industry’s first PoE ++ on 1 Gb/s . These new products provide industry leading surge protection solutions for small cell, WISP, backhaul, security and remote PoE terminal applications.”
The ALPU Lite and ALPU Fit enclosures are designed for indoor or outdoor use. ALPU Fit features corrosion, salt fog and UV protection options, while both products provide a locking hinged cover and water ingress prevention for an additional layer of protection. These environmental features, combined with state-of-the-art technology, provide customers with best-in-class surge protection in today’s point-to-point radio applications.
To support the global requirements of today’s high-power PoE networks, Transtector ALPU Lite and ALPU Fit enclosures are UL 497B, IEC CE60950, and IP 65 certified (ALPU Fit only), as well as IEC and RoHS compliant. The PoE surge protector is available today through Transtector and its global partners and representatives.
