APT Index: May Restaurant Sales Increase [+3.3%], with Strong Growth on Memorial Day Weekend [+5.3%]
WASHINGTON, D.C. (PRWEB) June 11, 2015 -- Applied Predictive Technologies (APT), recently named a Cool Vendor by Gartner, announced today that the APT Index of restaurant sales increased [+3.3%] nationwide in May 2015, compared to May of last year, with an even higher increase on Memorial Day Weekend* [+5.2%]. The APT Index of quick-service restaurant (QSR) sales increased [+5.2%], while the APT Index of full-service restaurant (FSR) sales increased [+1.4%].
“We’re seeing restaurants continue to perform well in May, particularly quick-service restaurants, which have shown more than 5% growth for each month in 2015,” said Patrick O’Reilly, APT President & COO. “Our data also shows that Memorial Day Weekend was a popular time for guests, as sales increased due to larger check sizes.”
