“These scholarships are providing students with the opportunity to obtain a quality education in preparation for entering the in-demand cybersecurity industry,” said Julie Peeler, director, (ISC)² Foundation. “The Foundation is actively committed to providing more scholarships every year to help alleviate the information security workforce gap of 1.5 million professionals worldwide by 2020, as predicted by Frost & Sullivan analysts in our 2015 workforce study. We’re pleased to extend the U.S.A. Cyber Warrior Scholarship program to include military veteran’s spouses this year because we recognize that they are making sacrifices back home while their spouses are serving.”
