Atlas releases iOS app as a sneak peek into the magic of 3D exercise detection and analysis.

Today Atlas Wearables is proud to announce the launch of their first-ever app for iOS – Atlas EngineTM. Atlas Engine was developed as an algorithmic test bed for the highly-anticipated Atlas Wristband which is in final stages of production. Atlas Engine is available free for a limited time on the iTunes App Store.

“The more we used Atlas Engine internally in developing our Wristband, the more we realized it’s a powerful product in it’s own right. We thought we’d share it with our incredibly patient and supportive community as a sneak peek of what’s to come.” – Peter Li, CEO

Current fitness apps and devices typically don’t go beyond simple step counting and heart rate. Atlas Engine automatically recognizes exercises, then counts reps and analyzes form.

Atlas Engine launches with the Basic Bodyweight Package:

  • Push-ups
  • Sit-ups (with 3 hand placement variations)
  • Jumping Jacks
  • Burpees
  • Prisoner Squats
  • Alternating Prisoner Lunges
  • More to come!

About the Market:
For years now, cyclists and runners have had their pick of apps to automatically track their workouts. Among regular exercisers, 61% are doing gym-type activities and are teeming for a more seamless logging and tracking experience. Evidence of this highly underserved market was further substantiated by the very successful Indiegogo campaign which raised over $600k for the Atlas flagship product – Atlas Wristband. Atlas Wristband is expected to ship in late July 2015.
