Elephant Scale has created a series of much needed Spark Training Workshops and announced them in conjunction with the Spark Summit 2015. The training has already received accolades from corporations and the developer community, and is a result of partnership with the industry's leading training materials creators.

We have delivered dozens of trainings and seminars in Big Data of excellent quality, and our Spark is so far the best. We cover even the latest additions to Spark and do not rehash old examples but create new and practical ones.

Elephant Scale LLC, a leader in vendor-neutral Hadoop and Big Data training, announces its Spark training series (http://elephantscale.com/training/spark-for-developers/). The training is packaged as either a 3-day course for developers or a one-day intensive workshop. For these dynamic sessions, Elephant Scale has partnered with training provider Learning Patterns, a leading training company known for the quality, depth, and thorough coverage of materials. Elephant Scale has delivered this training to partners in a corporate and public setting, and is now making the training generally available, timed to the Spark Conference beginning June 15, 2015.

The workshop covers such areas of Spark as regular/advanced use of RDD, SparkSQL, MLLib, GraphX and Spark streaming. The curriculum also covers the latest topics that were introduced in recent versions of Spark including DataFrames. Elephant Scale training courses provide participants with a precise mix of theory and hands-on exercises.

Mark Kerzner, the managing partner at Elephant Scale and workshop leader, said, “We have prepared an awesome agenda, and we feel that in making it widely available we fulfill an urgent need for Spark training in the Big Data community. ”

Sujee Maniyam, the co-founder of Elephant Scale adds, “we are perfectly positioned to deliver this kind of training. We have delivered dozens of trainings and seminars in Big Data, for developers and upper level managers, and we are known for the excellent quality of our training. Our training sessions we will be one of the first to cover the latest features in Spark including DataFrames. Our hands-on labs are fresh and practical - not the same old rehashed examples.”

Jeff Stacey, Fortune 500 Executive, Private Software Venture Advisor, of Palo Alto, CA, and an advisor to Elephant Scale, said, “Big Data training is getting ever more important. With the fast pace of the industry adoption, and with the technology affecting more and more areas, one of the biggest problems facing decision makers is finding the right personnel. Elephant Scale fits right in, by educating the right people inside the organization, be it C-level executives, managers, or software developers, and adding solid Big Data foundations to their skill sets. Given that Elephant Scale also provides consulting services based on their unique broad experience, they really can fill the void and make the difference.”

Elephant Scale representatives will be available at the upcoming Spark conference, and can provide brochures and additional information.
