We have seen patients in the Cary and Apex clinics have outstanding success with TDN and look forward to the benefits we will see in our Raleigh patients.
Raleigh, North Carolina (PRWEB) June 15, 2015
Dunn PT owner Christopher Dunn completed the required training to become a practitioner in North Carolina last fall and was previously offering the service from the Cary location. This spring, 10 Dunn staff members completed Trigger Point Dry Needling courses through Evidence In Motion (EIM) and are now trained to provide the service.
Trigger Point Dry Needling (TDN) is the insertion of a small gauge needle into “trigger points” on the body to directly treat the neuromuscular system. It causes favorable biochemical changes that help the body manage acute and chronic pain, as well as muscle dysfunction. Clinical research has shown that TDN can immediately improve range of motion and function, while decreasing pain. TDN is always used as part of a comprehensive manual physical therapy plan.
“We’re thrilled to be offering the service in all three of our Triangle locations,” said Christopher Dunn, PT, OCS, CERT-MDT, CMP, TDN practitioner. “We have seen patients in the Cary and Apex clinics have outstanding success with TDN and look forward to the benefits we will see in our Raleigh patients.”
Dunn Physical Therapy patients can expect to be seen within 24 hours of injury by an expert in injury prevention and treatment. If you suffer from low back pain, headaches, carpal tunnel, patellar tendonitis, and more, TDN may be a part of a treatment plan that’s suitable for you. To book an appointment with an expert therapist trained in TDN, call 919.388.0111.
