The Griffith Insurance Education Foundation Collaborates With The Council of State Governments to Offer Educational Programming on Ridesharing Issues
Malvern, PA (PRWEB) June 16, 2015 -- The Griffith Insurance Education Foundation is collaborating with The Council of State Governments (CSG) to provide policymakers with nonadvocacy, nonpartisan educational programming examining the insurance-related regulatory and legislative landscape surrounding ridesharing services. The emergence of ridesharing services, such as Uber and Lyft, has sparked discussion among policymakers around the country.
The first program offered on this topic will be a webinar on June 23, 2015, that will be open to public policymakers and staff, with invitations sent to CSG’s membership at large as well as targeted committees of jurisdiction.
Live, on-site sessions will also be provided later this summer in Ohio and Massachusetts, offering a more in-depth exploration of the issues and considering items of particular relevance to each state.
A final webinar will be presented later in the year in an effort to provide a broad national audience of policymakers with an updated look at the issues.
“Our two organizations are excited about this opportunity to work together in order to better educate public policymakers on these emerging issues,” said Frank Paul Tomasello, program director at The Griffith Foundation. “Both The Griffith Foundation and CSG share similar missions, which include a commitment to an unbiased, academic approach to programming. This focus will be at the heart of our collaboration.”
