We have collaborated with Google to develop a suite of capabilities that drive tangible value to our customers.
Austin, Texas (PRWEB) June 17, 2015
Uniguest, the hospitality industry’s largest provider of secure managed technology services, and Google announced a strategic partnership to deploy devices powered by Google Chrome OS in hotels across the world. The announcement was made at a press conference at HITEC, the world’s largest hospitality conference, in Austin, Texas.
“This partnership ushers in a new era in how hotels provide their guests with secure and easy access to technology – at a price that is far below what is typical for this level of service,” said Paul Payette, vice president of global business development at Uniguest. “We are gearing up for rapid and broad deployment of these Google Chrome solutions, as demand is likely to be very strong.”
Uniguest will install, set up and manage the following easy-to-use, secure and affordable technology devices powered by the Google Chrome operating system:
- Uniguest Chromebase for public-use computers provides access to the Internet, basic productivity software and cloud-enabled printing, all in an easy-to-use, highly secure small profile device.
- Uniguest Chromebase Kiosks, in which terminals are set up to handle a variety of dedicated uses, such as printing boarding passes and interacting with hotel loyalty programs.
- Uniguest Chromebox for Digital Signage, which makes it easy to display and instantly update digital content – including large video files – to one screen in one location, or to a network of screens all over the world. Through its management console, fleet-wide content may be managed by the customer or by Uniguest.
- Uniguest Chromebox for Meetings, a video conferencing kit powered by Google Hangouts and managed by Uniguest, allows up to 10 locations to collaborate at one time from the device of their choice – laptop, tablet or smartphone.
These devices are conveniently managed from the centralized, web-based Chrome management platform. Uniguest brings it all together, ensuring that every device works 24/7/365 with impregnable security.
“We have collaborated with Google to develop a suite of capabilities that drive tangible value to our customers. This suite includes our proprietary session-based security, the ability to remotely monitor and control the devices and peripherals, customized interfaces supporting the customer’s brand standards and Uniguest’s globally recognized service and support,” Payette added.
“Hotels around the world have embraced Uniguest’s large-scale, integrated capabilities,” said Chris Lydle, global lead for digital signage at Google. “Whether end-users collaborate on Chromebox for Meetings, send emails on a Chromebase Kiosk or interact with Chromebox for digital signage, they can always rely on a secure and dependable interaction with our fully managed technology solutions – and be assured it’s always up to date.”
Uniguest will showcase these solutions at HITEC this week.
